Song of Friendship
Mst. Jasmine Akther
Grade: IV
Friendship School, Sidhai
O bird, go to my beloved friend
Ask her how she’s doing on her end
If she’s doing fine
Come back to mine
Bird goes to its nest,
And I remain hoping for the best

My Friend
Mst. Nozima
Grade: VI
Friendship School, Paglar Char
My friend’s face shines like the moon,
I find my happiness in my friend’s good fortune.
Moon is the star’s friend, star is the moon’s.
I yearn for our friendship in the afterlife lagoon
My friend is the best and we are like two peas in a pod
My mind grows weary during his adventures abroad

I can bring stars from the sky for you my friend. Our friendship is so strong that I can live without oxygen. I look at you with my eyes and want to treasure you in my heart. The passage of time feels so fast because no matter how much time we spend together it never feels enough. We write about all the hurt and hardships in our hearts and it is during these times that I want my friend to be there with me.
